    The ADS131M04 starts conversions immediately after power-up of the device. This is shown in Figure 37 for Fast-Settling Behavior. However, you can also can see this in the State diagram showing the device functional modes in Figure 38. As the device powers up after a POR event or reset the device starts off in continuous conversion mode.

    However, if you need to trigger the start of a conversion, you can use the /SYNC/RESET pin. You would pull this pin to ground for a time shorter than 2047 tCLKIN (and longer than 1 tCLKIN). This starts a new conversion. You can read about this in the Synchronization in section 8.5.2.
