ADS1298: In Cascade Mode, how to start the conversion process for continuous mode

Hi there, 

I have a setup with an ADS1298 and an ADS1298R in cascade configuration. The intended conversion mode is continuous. 

Currently, I send a START opcode to the ADS1298 to start the data conversion process.

1. Do I need to also send a START opcode to the ADS1298R at the same time to start its data conversion process ?

2. Does sending the START opcode to the ADS1298 already kick off the process on the second device (ADS1298R) ?

    Hi Jack,

    Welcome to our forum and thank you for your post.

    1. Yes. You will need to enable the interface on both devices by bringing both /CS pins low. Then send the START opcode command to both devices simultaneously. Note that both devices must also be sharing the same master clock to be synchronized. Alternatively, you may bring the START pin on both devices high when you're ready to begin conversions.
