Where does channel noise on ADS1298 come?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298, ADS1298ECGFE-PDK

ADS1298 is highly integrated amplifier that exploits 8 channels for analog signal amplifying and A/D conversion. One thing I met on ADS1298 is confusing.  The resulted output from the first amplifying channel is correct, but all signals from other 7 channels are destroyed by noise. The noise is so big that the original signals could not be seen at all. ADS1298 should have no problem. The problem must be on the circuit. It follows the ASD1298 demo board from TI.  There are less capacitors and resisters. Could anybody give me some cues about how this happened or how to solve it?

  • Hi Dr. Evil,

Are you still having noise issues with the ADS1298?  Can you tell us how you had the ADS1298 configured during these tests?  Were you using our ADS1298ECGFE-PDK and its associated software or were you using your own hardware and code?
