DAC80501: Long term drift

Part Number: DAC80501

Hi,

According to the data sheet, the long term drift of VOUT is 20ppm of FS (TYP).
Does this specification include drift of the internal REF?
What is the maximum value?
Please let me know if TI has the data.
Fig.50 shows the long-term drift of REF, but it looks worse than VOUT, so our customer asked.
Regards,
Hiroshi
  • Hi,

    Thanks for writing to us.

At this moment I don't have data for output long term drift max value. Also output drift typical includes the internal reference typical drift.

But if you are looking at max values, it will be predominantly the drift from internal reference which will contribute the error for the output voltage, which again we don't have data at this point of time.

Reasons for not stating max values for long term drift is because drift will be on both sides (some device may drift on positive side and other device may drift in negative side), so the spread among devices will be huge and correspondingly standard deviation (sigma) will be higher.

    Hope this clarifies your query.

    Regards,

    AK
