ADC128S102EVM: How can you install the unsigned USB driver required by the ADC128S102EVM?

Part Number: ADC128S102EVM

The software accompanying the ADC128S102EVM requires installation of an unsigned USB driver in order to work, but Windows 10 prevents such installation. Is a signed version of this driver available? If not, what is the recommended workaround?

Regards,

Nigel

  • Hi Nigel,

There is not a Win10 signed driver available.  Therefore, the workaround we're suggesting requires administrator rights on the computer and for you to restart the computer in a mode that disables signed driver enforcement.  If you google "Installing unsigned drivers on Win10" you'll find several guides on the steps required to disable the driver enforcement.

  • Hi Collin,

Thanks for your response. I found the tips on installing unsigned drivers before I posted here in E2E. The problem is that TI machines appear to be so locked-down that the online workaround for installing unsigned drivers doesn't work. I was granted administrator rights for 24 hours by the help desk but that also didn't solve the problem. Now the help desk is recommending that I contact the IT security team to see if they can help. The struggle continues...

    Regards,
    Nigel

  • Hello Nigel,

We very much appreciate your continued efforts and we can confirm this is something we've had challenges with as well.  With admin rights we've usually found this works.  Let me recommend that we take this offline to see if some of our experts have any other tips.
