Hi, colleagues.

I am developing the 24-channel EEG system with three ADS1299 chips.

I reviewed the schematics of ADS1299 EVM kit board an checked its analog-front end circuit.

It consists of R/C combination. It was very simple and easy to understand.

Then, I want to know the configuration of the electrodes.

In that case, is an active electrode should be used?

I'll wait your advice

Hi Heejin,

I do not have a lot of knowledge for electrode placement configuration for 24 electrode systems. This decision is left up to the customer, as it depends from customer to customer what they would like to measure. Active electrodes are fine - however keep in mind that whatever noise is added to the measurement from the active electrode will be multiplied through the analog gain stages, and may degrade SNR.
