ADS1292R: Pace detection circuit

Part Number: ADS1292R

We are using ADS1292R Ic as our analog front end.

We also want to use pacemaker detection ,but ADS1292R doesn't have pace amplifier but other series of ADS129X has this pace amp inbuilt.

with reference with Software Pacemaker Detection Reference Design guide,

Can we add the pace amp externally with ADS1292R and carry out our pace detection?

Using other series of ADS129X with inbuilt pace amp?

which one is recommended!

Hi Aravind,

Both options are possible. It's simply up to you, the customer, as to which one you would like to implement. Creating your own external pace detection circuit may require additional design time. while the ADS129X solution has pace detection integrated.

As per my understanding HARDWARE pace detection only indicate pace signal presence &

SOFTWARE pace detection can detect artifacts of a pacemaker! is that right?

or any other major difference is there?(apart from design)
