Hello, i have one issue, i am using ADC(ADS8681IPW) which will support 16-bit data frame, but the interfaced MPC5554 controller is supporting 16-bit, Can you please suggest me how to interface both i mean how to program it? ADS8681IPW is interfaced with MPC5554 through SPI port. Is there any logic to program 32-bit ADS8681IPW with MPC5554? let me know, In this stage i cant change MPC5554, for me the last option is to change the ADS8681IPW, pls give any logic/suggestion to resolve my problem. here i am doing coding for FPGA and C coding,

Hello Divya,

The ADS8681 ADC requires 32 SCLKs per frame to shift out the data and flags to the SDO-x pins or accept a 32-bit command to program internal registers. Your can send total 32 bits/SCLKs per frame in the form of 16 bits/SCLKs.

How to send that 32bits/SCLK per fame in the form of 16bits/sclks? can you pls tell me the logic or how to implement that?

Hello Divya,

Your controller is a 16-bit controller so it will be 32-bit/SCLKs when you send two OPCODEs, for instance, send 0000h firstly, then send another 0000h from your controller to the MOSI, this NOP (No Operation) will create total 32 SCLKs to the ADC.
