The 24bit ECG raw data is so big that we need to select big size storage memory.

We would like to select small size memory. Does TI have data conversion suggestion can let 24bit data transform to 12bit?

Hi William,

You can simply truncate the last 12 bits from each measurement. As I am sure you are aware - this will result in a significant loss of resolution.

Hi Alex,

Yes, if we reduce raw data from 24bit to 12bit that will loss of high resolution.

We found the value of raw data is same at high byte as below, so we think data change to 12 bit can meet our requirement.

Could you provide suitable method of data conversion form 24bit to 12bit?

Hi William,

That is the status byte. Please see the data format section of the datasheet for details.

What you are asking for, converting 24 bits to 12 bits, is not possible. As I said, you can truncate bits to reduce the data size. You could also consider another device such as ADS1194, which as a 16bit output.
