DAC8750: What is latch-up tolerance of DAC8750?

Hello guys,

One of my customers is considering using DAC8750 for their new products.

They always check ESD and Latch-up tolerance of semiconductor parts when they consider using it.

They could know ESD ratings by the device datasheet.

But the datasheet doesn't show Latch-up tolerance.

Could you please give me what is latch-up tolerance of DAC8750?

Is it 100mA?

Nakai-san,

"Latch-up Tolerance" is not a formal or conventional specification I have heard of. The datasheet provides conventional JEDEC ESD specifications for HBM and CDM ESD models of 3kV and 1kV, repsectively.

I would need some more detail / clarification concerning "latch-up tolerance" in order to provide any guidance there.

Q1. Has DAC8750 passed TI latch-up test?

Q2. If Q1 answer is yes, what is the latch-up test criteria? Is it +/-100mA?

Could you please give me your reply for DAC8750 adoption to their new products?

Hello Kazuya,

1. Yes, the DAC8750 under went latch-up testing as part of the qualification process before public release. And yes it has passed latch-up testing.

2. Yes, the current level used for testing is +/-100mA.
