ADS1299: 32 channel EEG

Hi Team,

A customer wants to use ADS1299 for 32 channel EEG. He would like to know if he can use 4 chips on master slave configuration or any configuration that we could suggest. The devices will be use for real time applications. He wants to know how much time it takes for each deice to read the data.

    Hello Danilo,

    Customer can configure the 4 devices in a couple of configuration schemes: cascade and daisy chain mode.

    Both the configuration schemes are explained in detail in section 10.1.4 in the datasheet.

    The time it takes to read the data from each device would depend on the data rate and serial clock on the AFE and the overhead to recombine the byte bounded channel data on the host processor. All the channel data from the 4 devices must be read within the tDR (data rate) - 4 * tCLK.
