AFE4410: AFE4410 Deviation occurs for each channel

Part Number: AFE4410

Hi

My customer is developing a 5-channel device using five AFE4410s.

He pre-produced 10 equipment.

However, the deviation between each channel of the AFE4410 occurs more than 20% and inconsistent.

1. Like TI EVM in the circuit, can adding a Common Mode choke between the AFE4410 and PD help decrement deviation?

2. In the previous circuit review, there was a mention to add Common Mode Choke. Why should I add it?

3.  Is it advantageous to locate the AFE4410 close to which of LD (light emitting part) and PD (light receiving part)?

4. Is it advantageous to locate Common Mode choke close to which of AFE4410 and PD?

thanks.

regards.

  • Hello Moon,

Can you please confirm if all the devices are reset after all the supplies are stable and prior to start of operation?

What are the device configuration settings?

Typically common mode choke is used on the receiver path to reject RF interference.

PD input lines can be closer to the AFE, must be routed differentially and ensure there are shielded from any switching lines nearby.

Common mode choke can be placed closer to the AFE.
