ADS42JB49EVM: TI board usb connection Issues

Hi all,

I'm using the ADS42JB49EVM board with my laptop and I somehow have trouble with the GUI tool for the USB connection.

It worked once after GUI installation, however I rebooted the TI board and now I can't get a connection from the laptop to the TI board which is powered on.

The following message keeps displaying :

"FTDI Device not connected properly

FT_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND

The FT Device was not found

Kindly check wheter the USB Device is connected properly and press "Reconnect FTDI"

Pressing Continue will switch the GUI to simulation mode."

I shall maybe install FTDI drivers, but I haven't found thoses yet.

    David:

    Strange.  The fact that it worked initially is a good sign.  That tells me that the EVM HW is likely operational.  Here are some things to try:

    • Unplug and re-plug USB cable to re-establish USB link
    • Run the ADS GUI in "Run as Administrator" mode
    • Uninstall ADS GUI and then re-install it
    • Go to Device Manager under USB; verify that the USB recognizes the ADS HW board
