DAC8718: Output protection

Hi,

I have used output protection circuit as per TI recommendation "https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau229/sbau229.pdf" for one of my design.

I want to protect output side for wrong plugging output to supply (24VDC). EX:If i plug 24VDC supply to VOUT_18 in below attached schematic, protection circuit should protect my Opamp U18.

IT recommended the circuit ("https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau229/sbau229.pdf") for my requirement.

Now i want to know that, if this circuit protect my DAC/OPAMP continuously (if i plug output to power supply for longer time) or for brief time period only?

Hi,

Opamp is overheated if i plugged op-amp output to power supply.

IT recommended protection circuit ("https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau229/sbau229.pdf") saying that, it will protect output from accidental connection to power supply.

But while testing the board, op-amp is blown.

I need any recommendation to protect op-amp from accidental connections to power.

I think it would still be best to post this in the amplifiers forum to be sure. However, I think this is the method that they would recommend.
