VSP1000: VSP1000 INPUT CURRENT HOW DOES IT AFFECT THE CCD SIGNAL

Part Number: VSP1000

Hi,

I I have set 646K ohm RISF resistor and input current according to it input current is 0.408mA. while bandwidth resistor is resistor is 56K which provide 260MHZ.

When I apply signal From CCD some time I get proper signal whatever applied at input of buffer appear at buffer output.

But some time my output signal appear half of input.or some time king appears that instead of straight saturated line it appears triangle waveform appears.

Does ISF Resistor plays any role in it.

If I increased my input current does it will resolve my problem?

  • Hi Vishal,

Are you seeing this behavior on 1 board or multiple boards?

If it is 1 board, can you please check for any solder shorts or assembly related issues?

I checked with the designer of the VSP AFE and he mentioned that VSP1000 is an analog input/analog output chip and hence your observation that the output signal works ok sometimes or produces half of input sometime does not make sense.

We are not sure if changing the ISF resistor will help to resolve the problem. You can probably try to run this experiment and check if it helps.

  • Ya on multiple board.
