ADS1292: 2-Channel EEG amplifier

Part Number: ADS1292
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1299,

Hello,

For a 2-channle EEG acquisition system, we are currently using ADS1299.

But for the final application the chip is too large and supply voltage is too high for our particular requirement.

So I am considering implementing ADS1292 for the design of the 2-channel low-power and highly miniaturised EEG acquisition solution.

I am thinking adding a JFET input preamplifier.

Would you have a better solution for such an application?

Would you have recommendations if using ADS1292 with a preamplifier (either discrete of integrated)?

With my best regards,

Olivier

  • Hi Olivier,

    Thank you for your post.

The ADS1292 was optimized for ECG application and may be used for EEG application with a preamplifier. There are a few instrumentation amplifiers from TI that can be used in such applications. Please reach out to the amplifier E2E team for a recommendation with your requirement for the preamplifier stage in your design.

    Thanks.

  • Hi TCT,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I post to the Amplifier Forum.
