Hi Team,

A customer of mine is looking for two ADCs.
Could you please recommend suitable solutions?

  • Single Channel, 1k  SPS , 18..24Bit, continuously synchronized (SAR, or DeltaSigma with SingleShot)
  • Single Channel, 1M  SPS,  18 bit SAR ADC with QuadSPI

    Hi Stefan,

    Single Channel, 1k  SPS , 18..24Bit, continuously synchronized (SAR, or DeltaSigma with SingleShot)
    I would recommend looking at the ADS1219, ADS1220, ADS122U04, or ADS122C04.

    Single Channel, 1M  SPS,  18 bit SAR ADC with QuadSPI
    I would recommend looking at the ADS8910B, ADS9110, or ADS8691.

    Let us know if there are any additional application requirements or details and we can try to narrow device selection down a bit more.

    Hi Chris,

    thanks for those recommendations!

    Unfortunately the noise free resolution of those devices isnot enough for the customer.
    For their 1-20kHz applications they are currently using ADS1252, now they are looking for a newer device.

    They need at least 25bit noise free resolution at 1kHz (2V reference and gain 1).

    Can you think of any newer and better solution than ADS1252?

    Hi Stefan,

    If noise performance is a key factor then the ADS1261 / ADS1260 / ADS1235 family of devices are some of our lowest noise delta-sigma ADCs.

    The ADS1260 and ADS1235 are lower cost devices with a subset of the ADS1261 features.
