AFE7225: SPI Word Width

Part Number: AFE7225

Hi All,

I want to configure AFE7225 with python spidev (it sends 8 bit per transaction).

AFE7225 has 12 bit wide address and 8 bit wide data.

Would AFE work properly if I send 24 bits to the chip via spidev (12 addr + 8 data + 4 zeros)?

No, I don't think it will work that way, but I think that it will work if you add leading zeros instead: 4 zeros + 12-bit address + 8-bit data. I think you could also gate the proper bits by proper toggling of the SEN pin.
