LM98620: Register setting of "Sample pulse width"

Part Number: LM98620

Hi Sir,

Please help me for register settings about "Sample pulse width",

1).
I wrote value 0x60 at Reg-0x37, but 0x00 returned. Is it right?
Tell me how to check the setting finished correctly?

2).

After I wrote value 0x0C at Reg-0x00-0x0005 on page80, I found that value at Reg-0x36 on page00 has changed to 0x0C.
But I didn't write anything at Reg-0x36 on Ppage 00. Is it correct?

Hi,

1) Adr 0x37 is dedicated register for SH2b mode. One possibility is you set MODE not SH2b(please refer page 36 datasheet table 6).

If you do not use SH2b mode, 0x37 is not useful register.

2) This is also related to DLL same as above.

I'd like to use this device in SH2b mode, so that I need to write appropriate value in these registers.

I found that Reg-0x36 is linked to 0x00-0x05 page80 and also Reg-0x37 linked to 0x08-0x0D in page80. Is this true?

Is the below setup flow OK?

1. write value in all registers, except for forbidden registers, 0x36 and 0x37.

2. write value in Reg-0x37.

3. check value in Reg-0x08-0x0D on page80, (expected same value to Reg-0x37)

4. don't wwite anything in Reg-0x36, just check value.

Your sequence looks OK however please try it with samples on the bench to confirm.
