ADS1287: Last SCLK rising edge to CSn rising edge requirement during periodic data retrieval

Hi,

due to battery saving reasons I'd like to minimize the readout time for the four ADS1287-s we are using, right now a significant amount of the wake time is used to wait out this 24 x 1/fclk time.
Can we just drop this wait time and go for the CSn rise right after we have our data? I don't see why we need to wait for the 24x fclk period when we are only reading data.
