Hi,

Customer is using DAC108S085.

The DAC108S085 VCC and VREF1,2, the same 5.0V line of power are used as shown in the schematic.

Questions

1. Is there no problem with using the same power supply for VCC and VREF1 and 2?

2. Is it okay to connect VCC and VREF1 and 2 with a different power source?

Are there any additional guidelines for 3.1 and 2 methods?

Hi,

Schematics wise I don't see any issues.

You can use VCC as reference for this device. Please be sure that the supply voltage should be stable and low noise, otherwise you will see a direct correlation of any change in supply to the output voltage. How are you generating this 5V supply? Is it coming from an LDO or a switching regulator?

If its a switching regulator, I don't recommend connecting the same to Reference pin.

Sorry for the late reply.

The customer is using a 5V LDO.

If we use LDO, we will decide that there is no problem.

Make sure the LDO is of low noise, if that is critical for you.
