Selection of ADC for Strain Gauge application.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1248, ADS124S08, ADS1261

I was initially looking at the ADS1248 for my strain gauge application.  Problems with reference range while in ratiometric configuration has me looking for another ADC solution.

My requirements are this:

Minimum 4 differential inputs from wheatstone bridge type strain gauges.

24bit resolution (only 18 is needed but going for more in hope resolution will be there in final design)

wanting to use the ADC gain circuitry to minimize component errors

data to be reported at 10Hz but sampling can and should be higher for averaging.

voltage excitation of bridges to be 5V 0V.  giving nominal 2.5V on the differential signals.

wanting to tie excitation voltage to ADC for better drift and noise performance.

The ADS1248 fit the bill for my application except for the limitation of not being able to put the reference voltage at 5V

I am looking for help on selection of a proper ADC for my application.
