Hello!

I am trying to program DAC60096 EVM, but when I press the launch script window, it gives me: "python 2.7 is not installed". I installed python 2.7 including IDLE, checked from the command prompt that there is no program occupying port 6640. I also run the software as an administrator. What else could I do?

Hi Anton, is this on a Windows 10 machine? I have seen an issue caused by some application settings. Please take a look at the attached procedure.

I followed your steps and indeed it helped, thank you very much! Seems to be Windows 10 issue.

By the way, is there any code examples how to control output voltages? I see the script with functions for GUI in the "Scripts" folder, but I would like to know how to properly call these functions?

Hi Anton,

Once you have launched the scripting/IDLE window, you can use the record and stop buttons to record macros as you interact with the GUI. For example, pressing buttons on the GUI will record which register they interact with. You can also interact directly with the register map page. Once you have recorded your macro, you press the stop button. You can then save and re-run the macro in the idle window. You can also modify the macro with your own python code, if you wanted to create loops or other functions. Creating a macro while using the gui to accomplish tasks is the best starting point.
