AFE4490:

Part Number: AFE4490

I have 2 x AFE4490EVM board (as a set with usb cables and finger probes). I setup AFE44x0SPO2EVM GUI on 4 different Windows 10 PC regarding the steps in user guide, also i installed the USB driver regarding AFE44x0SPO2EVM User's Guide (Rev. C) and i saw them as AFE44x0SPO2EVM (COM23), AFE44x0SPO2EVM (COM31). But 3 of the computers even can't open the GUI. The 4th one initiates the GUI but not recognize boards. Stays in simulation mode in every combination (restarting the PC. changing cable, port/COM numbers, resetting on boards).

Can you solve the problem, have a nice day.

  • Hello Ali,

    Welcome to TI E2E forum!

Thanks for reaching out regarding AFE4490.

Regarding the issue you are seeing, can you please clarify if you are trying to connect 2 EVMs to the PC simultaneously? If yes, the GUI does not support 2 EVMs.

If no, can you attach the error messages? Also please confirm if you are running the GUI in administrator mode.

Also can you confirm if the default language setting for the PC is selected as 'English (United States)'?

If no, please follow the steps to select the language.

    1. Go to Start
    2. Type "Language settings"
    3. If "English (United States)" is not the default app language, please Click on "Add a preferred Language"
    4. Add "English(United States)"

  • I am not connecting two modules simultaneously, i just tried two different modules to make sure neither cables nor boards cause the problem.

-Language settings didn't solve the problem.
-Runnig the GUI in administrator mode didn't solve the problem.
-I see no error message, GUI tries to start but shutdowns during the intro screen (screenshot is attached).

    Thanks.

  • Ali,

Your screenshot attachment did not come through.

    Can you reattach?

Also can you provide the screenshot of the device manager COM port when the EVM is connected?
