ADS1293: ADS1293 9-lead LOD application without RLD

Part Number: ADS1293

Hi TI team ,

Our new project use two ADS1293 in series for 9-lead ECG application without RLD electrode and find some question as below :

If first ADS1293 AFE Setting LOD_CN (0x06) : 0x14 and second ADS1293 AFE Setting LOD_CN (0x06) : 0x14

9-lead LOD function is workable , but V-lead have noise as shown below :

If first ADS1293 AFE Setting LOD_CN (0x06) : 0x14 and second ADS1293 AFE Setting LOD_CN (0x06) : 0x00

9-lead LOD function is workable , and V-lead have no noise as shown below :

Why the two ADS1293 AFE LOD_CN need to set up different lead off mode ?

  • HI Wei-Ken,

Thank you for your post! Sorry for the delay.

Does this happen to all the systems or just on some system? We'll look into this in more detail and get back to you.

    Thanks.

  • Hi TC ,

It happen to all systems , our application as below :

    ADS1293 AFE_1 :                 ADS1293 AFE_2 :

    CH1 : Lead I                          CH1 : V-lead_2 (V4)

    CH2 : Lead II                         CH2 : V-lead_3 (V6)

    CH3 : V-lead_1 (V1)              CH3 : No use

It seems ADS1293 AFE_1 need to setup AC lead off mode , ADS1293 AFE_2 is DC lead off mode is oksy to solve V-lead chanel noise.

We want to know why different lead off mode can reduce V-lead chanel noise.
