TSC2013-Q1: How to use AUX pins as ADC

Part Number: TSC2013-Q1

Hi,

Customer want to input an analog signal to the AUX pin.
And Customer want to use AUX as an ADC.

If so, does AUX need to be connected to SGND?
Could you give me a circuit example when using AUX as an ADC?
The information was not listed in the DATA.

Regards,
Yusuke

  • Hi Yusuke-san,

Yes, you can use the AUX input of the TSC2013 to make an external measurement.  Please review section 8.1.1.  The connection shown in Figure 47 is for measuring IX and IY which is the typical use case for the AUX input.  R(sense) develops a voltage for use in measuring the driver current from SNSGND.  If you were to measure battery voltage for example, you would have a resistive divider to the AUX input referenced to AGND.

  • Hi Tom-san,

    Thank you for your support.
    I understand.
