ADS112C04: Current Source with No Load

Hello,

What happens with the ADS122C04 current source if no path to GND ?  Does it saturate safely? 

Obviously circuit doesn’t work but want to confirm we can’t damage it.

    Hi Don,

    Yes, the IDAC will saturate safely with no path to ground. The IDAC should pull any pins connected to it to ~AVDD, which is a useful way to identify a fault in an RTD application (in addition to using the integrated VREF readback option)
