ADC124S021: Can ADC124S021 be used for one time conversion?

Hello guys,

One of my customers is considering using ADC124S021 for their new products.

They have a few questions as the follows.

Could you please give me your reply?

Q1. Can ADC124S021 be used for just one time conversion (not continuous conversion)?

Q2. If the answer for Q1 is yes, does ADC124S021 need just 16 SCLK only

(SCLK is fixed to H level before conversion start timing and after conversion

finish timing like Figure 4 on page 7 of the device datasheet for one time conversion?

Hello,

Yes the ADC128S021 can be used for a single conversion.

A single conversion needs 16 rising SCLK edges, while CS is held low.

As you noted Figure 4 is the timing needed to complete a single conversion.
