Line Clamp deception is at 7.3.3.x. It starts from page 14 of Datasheet. This could be helpful for clamp related information.

PIXCL is selection for INTCLK. Depending on Mode selection, INTCLK = PIXCLK or ADCCLK. 7.3.1 (Page 13) shows table for this.

Hi Shinya,

I'm referring to the Line Clamp Enable Register in Page 2 Register 6 which somehow controls PIX1 to PIX8.
I believe the discussion in 7.3.3 is for the Analog input and clamping and the Line Clamp Enable is not mentioned in this section.

Hi,

Based on Fig 24 Datasheet 31, LM98714 has pins names CLK1,2,3..10. They are for timing generator output. PIX1 to PIX8 are name for internally generated signals what can be set by page 2. It includes Page 2 register 6 as well.

So Page 2 register 6 is not related "enabling function of line clamp of LM98714 AFE block". Just provide(generate) line-clamp pulse on PIX1-8. Externally those pulse can be used if needed.

Hi,

Yes, so my question is what would a line-clamp pulse look like? What would happen if I set any of PIX1 to PIX8 Line Clamp Enable to 1 and I've already setup the PIX1 to PIX8 settings?

(i.e., If I set PIX1 to 1/2 PIXCLK rate and I set Line Clamp Enable = 1?)

Hi,

If you set both Line Clamp and something else(e.g 1/2 PIXCLK) enabled, I guess both combined signal comes out. However no description on datasheet for this case. I would like to suggest to confirm it on your board with LM98714 parts.
