ADS7138: Driver for Linux

Hi Team,

Our customer is requesting for the ADS7138 device driver for Linux. According to the customer, the suggested ADS7828 driver in the link below has only 12 bit ADC, however, the ADS7138 has 12 bit ADC + GPIO expander. The customer needs both functionality (ADC + GPIO). Do we have a Linux driver for the ADS7138 or other devices in the same family which includes the ADC + GPIO expander?

    Hi Danilo,

    No, we don't currently offer a dedicated driver for the ADS7138 as mentioned in the thread.

    The customer should be able to accomplish the I2C transactions required to achieve the GPIO functions using the generic Linux I2C calls.  It would be great if they shared any custom drivers back with the community for other consumption afterwards.
