Hello TI experts,

my customer consider ADS1118 for Thermocouple measurement. Can you review the schematic below?

we will connect K type thermocouple on TC_N and TC_P.

if there is something we should know, please tell me. Thanks.

    Hi Chase,

    This looks good, virtually identical to Figure 50 in the ADS1118 datasheet.

    My only other comment would be if the customer intends to use the ADS1118's internal temperature sensor for cold junction connection, make sure to place the ADC as close as possible to the terminal block where the thermocouple is connected. This ensures that the ADC is reading the cold junction temperature as best as possible, resulting in higher accuracy temperature measurements.
