Hi,

I want to interface AFE5809 with Kintex KC705 using FMC card. I want to deserialize the data from ADC. I referred Xapp524 Serial LVDS High-Speed ADC Interface and I tried with ISERDES,

Is Xapp524 suitable for AFE5809 or Is any reference design available for deserialize the data from ADC

Hi Esakki,

Sure you can make the reference design in xapp524 to work for AFE5809. ISERDES and IDELAY are generic blocks and can be used with any ADC. But using Bit clock alignment state machine directly from the reference design, we're not sure whether this will work as this state machine might expect certain test patterns coming out of the ADC. We recommend you to go through the requirements of this control logic. Currently we don't have any reference design for AFE5809 LVDS implementation with Xilinx FPGA. We have a reference design for 32 channel AFE (TX7332 + AFE5832LP) where we use LVDS interface for capture and Xilinx Artix 7 FPGA. You can take that reference design as a starting point and modify according to your requirement. Do let me know if you need access to that reference design.
