ADS6125: ADS6125 interface with Linux board

Part Number: ADS6125

Hi team,

Is there away to interface linux board with ADS6125? If it can be interfaced, what communication port I should use, SPI?

How to acquire the ADC data and put into the DMA. After that how can I use the poll() function to read from the ADC buffer, /dev/io:device0?

Hope your reply.

Best regards,

  • Zhonghui,

TI does not have any Linux board interface examples that work with the ADS6125EVM. You could remove the shunts on jumpers JP2,3,6 and 7 and connect to pin 2 of all of these jumpers to a Linux board to drive the sclk, reset, sdata and sen pins. Just follow the SPI protocol shown on page 13 of the data sheet. This part does not support register reads.

    Regards,

    Jim
