Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1248
Designing a universal sensor converter I have problems with the ADS1248.
In configuration for thermocouple or RTD measurement I discover a strange behaviour.
For example thermocouple input:
| Volt | ADC result |
| 1mV | 00F200 |
| 0,5mV | 1E2400...23C600 |
| -0,5mV | E7E600...EBFE00 |
| -1mV | FEF200 |
The same problem occurs with RTD input (ratiometric). At resistance below approx. 2 Ohm the ADC result is not correct.
Here my configuration of the ADC for the thermocouple input
positive input: AIN0
negative input: AIN1
VBIAS: VBIAS1
internal oscillator in use
internal reference always on
onboard reference selected
normal operation
PGA: 16
1000 SPS
RevID: 9
DOUT only
IDAC1+2 disconnected
GPIO: Analog input
Voltage at negative input to AGND: 2,474 V
Voltage AIN1/AIN0 is correct
The sensor-voltage is connected to CON1 Pin 2 and 4.
V42 EN1 and EN3 is actice in order to connect the sensor voltage to the ADC
Has anyone a idea what's wrong ?
