Hi,

Recently I've installed the latest CCS and I have difficultly starting the debug session on any CC1310 projects.

The debugger is not reaching the main function and the only thing I can do is to terminate the session:

I've used the LCD example project to see if the problem is still reproducible as you can see above. There is no error message from the debug probe. But I think the out file is not loaded because I've tried Flash Programmer 2 software and the firmware is good. Its running.

I'm using windows 10 and the example is for SmartRF06 Eva Board with XDS100v3 debug probe and TI CC1310 EM board.

Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

Hello Milorad,
I see that the Debug view is closed in your perspective. That is a very important view that should remain open. Can your reopen it via 'View -> Debug'?

Hi Ki,

The Debug tab that you are talking about is open automatically when you start the debug session. It may not be selected. Anyway it doesn't explain the problem.

So I've recorded a video an put it on youtube to highlight the problem:

Hi everyone,

I am also facing the same problem on Linux. I had opened a thread here but it was moved under TI-RTOS. You could find the post at the following link: e2e.ti.com/.../540377

@Milorad: Did you try to test other example projects? I tried the projects lcdSmartRF06EB, pinInterrupt, uartecho, rfPacketRx. Only the pinInterrupt debugs fine.

Hello Milorad,

I have exactly the same problem.
I downloaded CCS yesterday (version: 6.2.0.00048) and tried to debug/run some of the examples.
Only the hello world example debugs fine. So the hardware works.

System: Windows 10, SmartRF06, CC1310EM evaluation board.

I can reproduce this. It looks a like serious bug. We are currently investigating with highest priority. Sorry for all the pain and I will keep everyone posted as I get updates.

Hello,

The root cause is a bug with the flash programming utility for CC13xx/CC26xx. A bug has been filed for it. Tracking ID: CCDSK-2235

To work around the issue, copy the FlashCC26xx.dll in the attached zip file into: <CCS62 INSTALL DIR>\ccsv6\ccs_base\DebugServer\bin (you may want to rename the existing dll file). For procedure for Linux and Mac are the similar (just differences in the file names)

Windows:

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/81/FlashCC26xx.zip

Linux:

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/81/3326.libFlashCC26xx.so.tar.gz

Mac:

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/81/libFlashCC26xx.dylib.zip

Is the problem present in the Mac or Cloud versions of CCS 6.2.0 as well? I see the same behavior in both those platforms too.

Yes, it will be an issue on Cloud and other platforms running 6.2.0. We are patching cloud soon and I will post the workaround dlls for Linux and Mac platforms shortly.

I had the same issue with code composer studio 6.2.000048 trying to debug CC2650STK.

However I replaced the dll file but I still have no sign successful chip programming.

I expect green LED blinks at least.

by the way now I receive a initial break on RegisterAssertCback(AssertHandler); point

I have the same problem with same CCS and same RF06 board.
Returns to CCS v6.1 and it works well.

Hi,

I get the following error after replacing the library (does not happen with the original one. Also, the replacement is just 22 KB long, whereas the original, and the one before, are 175 KB):

I am having the same exact issue on v.7.0 on windows 10. It was working before then I updated and it does not work anymore. However there is a difference. The problem only happens with Energia sketches inside of ccs. It even does not work on the cloud version. I am using a cc1310 launchpad board.
