Hello,
We are using TCI6638K2K. We managed to build ARM cores (Cortex A-15) integrating GCC with SYS/BIOS (following http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/SYS/BIOS_with_GCC_(CortexA)). However, we want to try TI's compiler to see the performance improvement on the optimization.
Do we have any guide to follow?
(Our operating system is Windows btw)
Edit: I couldn't understand whether ARM compiler supports or not supports A15 yet. And SYS/BIOS... There are some targets defined, but I don't know which one I should use. For example ti.targets.arm.elf.A15Fnv. But it says it is experimental.
Thank you very much,
Erman
We do not recommend using the TI ARM compiler for Cortex-A15.
Thanks and regards,
-George
Hello George,
Thank you for the answer. So can we say, practically, the only way to build a Cortex-A15 project with Sys-Bios is GNU toolchain?
Erman
My knowledge of SYS/BIOS is quite limited. I'm pretty sure you are correct. The best place to check is the TI-RTOS forum.
Thanks and regards,
-George
