DLP product selection issue

Dear Expert ,

Good day!

Our customer have worked through your DLP catalog ,but the crucial information for them is not available in that catalog .

They need a Display with a very fast framerate for 1 bit colour depth. ideally 1000Hz or faster. What makes it potentially easier is the additional reduction of colour they only need one colour channel and they need only 1 bit for that colour (so that there are just two colour values on and off necessary, not 256 like normal ).

So , could you help to confirm whether we have the suitable device ?

BR,

Leon.liu

  • Leon Liu,

Thank you for the question.  What you are describing sounds like a "binary pattern rate".  The display chipsets do not support 1-bit binary pattern inputs.  1-bit binary patterns are an Advanced Light-Control (ALC) application characteristic.  All of the ALC Advanced Light Control chipsets have 1-bit binary pattern rates listed.

If you check the Advanced Light-Control product selector, you should see the binary pattern rate listed.  I believe all of the ALC chipsets support binary pattern rates greater than 1000Hz.

Be sure to consider whether this is for a visible light, NIR, or UV application as that should affect your product selection.  I am sure you may have other considerations, such as mirror array size as well.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
    Gary
