Hi,

I have a customer who is working with DLPDLCR2000EVM, but she encounter problem when she using it.

Please see below her query and I hope that you can help her with that. Thanks.

I recently purchased the DLP2000 EVM from your website. I also purchased the suggested power supply from the user guide and am still unable to get the unit to boot up. When attached to power the "D2" LED will either blink occasionally, stay solid momentarily or not light up at all. I haven't been able to get the splash screen to boot at all. The solution provided me in the previous case did not work either. I have no issues with the beaglebone working so I think I have a faulty DLP EVM

Hi Ray,

First I would urge them to review the quick start guide in the EVM users guide https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu049c/dlpu049c.pdf?ts=1622736134970&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Ftool%252FDLPDLCR2000EVM

Ensure all connections on the EVM are solid, etc.

If the EVM is new from TI.com and it didn't work out of the box then the customer is likely under warranty, and can get a replacement EVM sent to them.

they can contact support for their region here (https://www.ti.com/info/contact-us.html) to get a replacement sent.

Ray,

To confirm whether your system is faulty, I recommend attempting to power the system disconnected from the BeagleBone. This will help confirm that there is something wrong with the board and not with the BeagleBone software.

Following this, Please verify that the optical engine flex cables (data cable and LED cable) are both properly seated per Arthur's suggestion above. You can request a replacement unit under warranty once you have done the above.
