DLPR300: Multiple Image out of the DLP

Part Number: DLPR300

Hi Team, Seeking your assistance if the application is possible.

So we are not using the DLP in a projector. We are trying to take multiple images out of DLP to use it into an application in quantum optics called four wave mixing. So what I need is just four images (Like symmetrically placed ), which will also help me to decrease the size of the beam and so that I can use it for the next part of our experiment. That's why I want to control the pattern so we could change it to what we desire.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Mark,

Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for  your interest  in DLP technology.

We need more details about your requirements to answer this question.

The DMD is an area modulator, it modulates light beam in an area. If I understand correctly, your application requires modulating wavelength.  The DMD can not modulate the wavelength , any such control has to be done outside for example at light source or grating.

Please let me know your thoughts.

    regards,

    Vivek

  • Hi Vivek,

According to our customer, As DLP modulates beam in an area, by controlling it, they want to put in a pattern such that there will be reflection only from four areas(Like all others will be in the off state)

    Thank you.

  • Hello Mark,

I am a bit confused by the request. Would this mean four large areas of the DMD (such as corners) or individual pixel level in a way to mix the light waves as the optics name would suggest?

    Regards,

    Austin
