DLP2010LC: Calibration data DLP201LC

Part Number: DLP2010LC
Hello!
How do you calibrate the optical module? What calibration information do you write to the flash memory? Can you send a method for calibrating the optical module? Yours faithfully Zhukov Vladimir.
  • Hello Vladimir,

    The Vladimir,

The optical module calibration data is used to compensate for  unit to unit variation in illumination source like LED and also optical alignment of component.

As you may be aware that the performance of LED could vary from batch to batch. Also alignment of optical components in the engine could also impacts output. As part of manufacturing, each optical module is measured for reference color point (Red, Green, Blue, White point) and any variation is components by adjusting the LED duty cycle for consistent performance across product line.

Hope this answers your question. This information is required when your ready for mass production for optical engine.

    regards,

    Vivek

  • Hello Vivek!

Can you send us a description of how the calibration is performed?

    Best regards, Vladimir Zhukov.

  • Hello Vladimir,

The following application note "DLPC34xx Controller Image Calibration" explains the process in detail.
