DLP3010EVM-LC: Static test pattern

Hi,

For testing purposes I would like to project test patterns on a screen and capture images of the screen with my camera. Using the Test Pattern Generator as input source I have not yet been able to produce an output trigger for my camera. Is their a way to do this?

Ideally, I would like to project a static pattern but it appears that the DLP3010EVM-LC has some dark time when running Test Pattern Generator as input source. Is it possible to freeze the image to make the exposure time infinitely long?

    Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

    I do not believe that the output trigger functionality is supported with test pattern generator as the input source. Output triggers are only supported in External Pattern Streaming Mode (DPI input) and Internal Pattern Streaming mode (flash-programmed 1D pattern stream). See Section 7.3.2 of the DLPC3478 datasheet for more information: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dlpc3478.pdf
