DLPLCR4500EVM: Running LightCrafter 4500 GUI Tool under Linux

Hello,

I would like to use the LightCrafter 4500 GUI Tool on Ubuntu. Before trying that out myself I wanted to ask here if somebody might have some suggestions. As far as I understood, there is no native Linux version of the tool. Is that correct? Can I use e.g. Wine to run the LightCrafter software on Ubuntu? Thank you!

Hi Malte,

You are correct, the LightCrafter 4500 GUI is not available for Linux.

Thank you! I saw the thread you linked to already, and I will have a closer look at it. I was just wondering if anybody got the tool running under WINE on Ubuntu or has tips on that. Since I am not a Linux guy, WINE seems to be the easier apporach to me (maybe thats naive) ...

Hi Malte,

I asked around and no one here has experience running this GUI on Linux. I talked with our resident Linux expert about this and he mentioned WINE unprompted, so I think you may be on the right track,

Other than this were not going to be able to give you too much support getting this running on Linux.
