DLP3021LEQ1EVM: FPGA replacement on EVM board

Part Number: DLP3021LEQ1EVM

Hi,

My customer designed the board with reference to the DLP3021LEQ1EVM.

The EVM's BOM list includes FPGA (XA7S15-1CPGA196Q)

However, this part is not currently available to customer. So he is trying to use a part of a different grade.

EVM has automotive grade part but this part is not available currently.

So customer want to use industrial grade instead of automotive grade.

Is there any problem with the replacement?

Design status is just a development stage and board is prototype.

Hello SY Yoon,

There is no problem in using the industrial rated equivalent FPGA (XA7S15-1CPGA196I) for development stage prototyping purposes.

If the speed is different, can it be replaced? For example, XA7S15-2CPGA196I

I am not certain if the different speed grade is currently supported, so I do not recommend that you use the XA7S15-2CPGA196I.
