Issue with intensities from captor

Hi,

I would like to test the linearity of my DLP, but when i change my exposure time, intensity values do not seem to change much. I don't think it's a problem with my DLP

It looks like the software realize an average on the intensities detect by the captor, but I'm not sure that's what it is. If this is it, I really don't understand what the purpose of this functionnality.

Could someone know why my intensity values don't change much with the exposure time ?

Hello Max,

Could you tell us which chipset or EVM you are working with? A DMD is comprised of mirrors that are "on" or "off" so that grayscale is performed by pulse width modulation.

I'm using the DLP NIRscan Nano with a homemade interface and the interface of TI.

I understand why we need PWM to get the signal, but not why it does not allow to vary the greyscales with the exposure time...

Hi Max,

Sorry for the delayed response. I would like to move this thread over to our DLP Pico team, which supports this platform. They have more recent experience with the performance and potential challenges with this EVM.

Hello Max,

Could you please explain in detail what you are trying to do? You need to change the PGA gain to change the intensity.
