DLP7000: Sub-Minimum Temperature Effects on Performance

Part Number: DLP7000

I see that the minimum operating temperature for the dlp7000 chip is 10C. What in particular drives this requirement (hardware, firmware)? If I was to drive this chip at a lower temperature, say 0C, should I expect any performance knock down? Would this impact speed, accuracy, both, or something else?

  • Hello Reed,

We strongly recommend heating the DMD to the 10C temperature recommended.  We cannot guarantee continued operation of the pixels otherwise and do not warranty the DMD under these circumstances.  This requirement is driven by the proprietary material inside the DMD.
