KP-3P-DLP4500EVM: Structured light pattern flashing

Dear Reader,

  I use DLP4500 EVM projected sinusoidal grating to build a structured light system. However, when I take photos by a Basler industrial camera, I found the video unstable, with the pattern flashing time to time.

  Pls kindly determine what the cause is.

    Welcome to the TI E2E forums and thank you for your interest in DLP technology. Can you provide some more information to better help us troubleshoot:

    1. Was the EVM working fine before this issue was encountered ?
    2. What I2C communication was being sent when this issue was encountered ?
    3. Can you provide a reference image to show us what the pattern is expected to look like ?

      Thank you for the reply. Pls find the answers below.

    1. Yes, the EVM work well before.

    2. Actually I connect the EVM in Video mode to a computer as the image source. The setting values are default.

    Hello Xian,

    Seems like you were able to display the required pattern correctly earlier and now you are facing some issues? 

    Have you made any firmware related changes? Do you have multiple EVMs to check if you are seeing the issue across the EVMs?
