DLPLCR4500EVM: Weird issue when displaying the patterns in the pattern sequence mode with the low pattern period (5000 us)

Part Number: DLPLCR4500EVM

Hi,

I'm testing the DLPLCR4500EVM's the pattern sequence mode.

I've connected the EVM's trigger pins to the external camera to capture the image after the pattern is projected and it works fine.

However, when changing the timing parameters(pattern exposure & pattern period), I've found a weird issue.

For example, initially the pattern exposure(us) and the pattern period(us) were 100000 which result in this image:

(pattern exposure = pattern period = 100000 us)

However, when I change the parameter much lower, for example by using the number as low as 5000 us, I got

(pattern exposure = pattern period = 5000 us)

Other numbers also didn't work. For example, with 20000us,

(pattern exposure = pattern period = 20000 us)

All those images were taken by using the trigger-synchronized camera and the perceived images with my bare eyes were the same.

I guess all the images should look similar to the first one. What can be the cause of this problem and what is the fix?

Thank you.
