DLPC3479: external pattern mode data compression

Hello experts,

DLPC3479 data sheet section 7.3.2.1 says as follows

Pattern data received by the DLPC3479 over the parallel interface is subject to data compression, which can be lossy depending on frame content.

Does the compression take place in the DLPC3479 internal data path?

I need pixel accurate projection, and I would like to know more about if pattern data over HDMI to LDPC3479 becomes lossy in the particular data path.

Yes, the compression takes place in the data-path of the controller.
