Hello TI,

I was trying to save the firmware image file to the external spi memory connected to the Arduino, and I left a post because I had a question.

I want to save the firmware image file to spi and take it out when needed to use it for firmware update.

What I'm curious about is this.

When storing firmware data in spi, I wonder if it only stores binary data or in the original file format.

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP Technology!

The firmware can be backed up using the Light Control GUI's Firmware page and 'Backup Firmware' tab.

Please allow me to look into if the SPI flash devices maintain the .img format or if the data is converted to binary.

The .img file is in binary format and is stored as such in the flash.
