Is it possible to avoid Pre- and Post-exposure dark Time?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP3010EVM-LC

Hi Experts,

The customer is using DLP3010EVM-LC to display a 2D pattern using the Splash Pattern mode provided by the DLP EVM GUI.

Referencing this FAQ thread, the section "Why is there minimum required pre-exposure and post-exposure dark times?" explains that the dark times are necessary in order to load the patterns to the DMD.

However, the customer's design is one same pattern in PNG or BMP file format, and requires to be displayed approximately 5 minutes or longer. is there a need to reload the image in to the DMD every few milliseconds, or should they leave it there and "don't do anything"? (The customer would like to have a continuous light rather than the high frequency flickering.)

Is it possible to avoid said dark times and keep the LED on and the mirrors in the same position until aborted manually or would that damage the DMD?

If it is possible can you share how to achieve such a thing?. if yes, can you share documents or any examples?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Marvin
